 This week we are working on the following:
* Planning for the September Star Gate Game is progressing for either the 18th or the 25th.
* Eberron characters are due TOMORROW, September 4th by 9pm. No character posted = not interested in playing. Campaign planning will progress without you/your character. "Dummy" characters will be included in planning and those wishing to join in at a later date may use one of those for the first couple games until we can work you in. Currently we have suggestions for a healer and a rogue.
* October will have either Eberron or Star Wars AND the annual Halloween bash (costumes are not planned at this point)
* Early November (if desired) will be the last chance to game before the new year. With holidays and vacations, late Nov/Dec is a really bad time.
Other than that, things have been quiet.

| Update on what is going on around HcP |

There is a lot that is going on with the group at this point.
We are currently re-vamping the Star Wars Saga game to both take a break from DoD by going to mini-campaigns and reworking DoD. At this point, Warlock will be running a mini-campaign based on the Death Troopers novel. Please take a moment to look at the already posted characters and decide what you want to play. The game is set just before ANH and characters should be Imperials or Prisoners.
Eberron is taking a break from 4e to return to the 3.5 system most of us apparently prefer (thanks for telling us this.....). Details will be posted shortly, but until then, please keep an eye on the Eberron threads to see what character concept information is posted there.
MnM is anticipated this month. Dates and details should be posted in the MnM thread.
Star Gate will be discussed before or after the MnM game. See the Star Gate threads for what this is all about.
There is a site survey that everyone seems to be avoiding participating in. Please see the previous news post for details.
Finally, keep October open as we are planning on having an actual Halloween Party this year. Details will be posted once we figure out what we are doing. Could be mixed in with a game as normal (though most people conveniently are unavailable, it is ALWAYS a great game.)

This Saturday we will continue with the DoD campaign that we have been playing. I have requested (in General Discussion) a virtual show of hands for those attending. I have also posted there a list of food items for the Dinner Cook-Out. Other suggestions are welcome!
At this point, everyone's characters should be posted to their current level. If you have not posted (ie you missed the LAST THURSDAY CUT OFF) please PM me before posting. Depending on your reasoning, you may have to play your currently posted character. I will not accept excuses after Thursday, meaning if you are not posted now and do not pm me by then, you play your character as posted, no exceptions!
there is an active RP thread that Greg is running with. Others are encouraged to RP for XP!!!! At this point, Greg may just end up A FULL LEVEL above the rest of the group because of his efforts.
Finally, send me your questions ASAP! I am finalizing the game and expect to have everything together by Thursday. If you have previously posted that you are gaming and something has come up between then and now --- but do not tell me, your character will go along with the group and be subject to encounters and Damage. If you can not make it, a simple post is all I need. Your character will tag along, but will stay safely on the ship.

Just a front page "Heads Up" for our Eberron Gamers:
We are gaming on October 24th!!! Not this weekend, next weekend! I had messed up my calendar and lost a weekend in there somewhere.
As Phil would be unable to join us this weekend, we are gaming on the originally posted weekend. If you have issues, please post in the Eberron game thread ASAP!

On October 24th, we will be trying our hands at 4th Edition Eberron.
All characters should be posted for this 1-shot+ before Sunday October 11th. This will give your DM time to learn your characters and correctly level your foes.
Another note: This WILL be a Halloween game in theme only. We will NOT be costuming!! But I would like everything to be themed for the occasion. This means that snacks and such should be of a Halloween theme, the feel of the game will be spooky and potentially the lighting/decorations will follow suit. If you have questions, please let me know ASAP!

Gamers,
We will be playing Star Wars NEXT weekend September 26th (unless there is a push in the game dates thread to play Star Gate). On October 24th we will be trying 4th Edition Eberron. Please see the Eberron threads for details on posting characters and background information on the game (DM will post when he is ready).
In other news, the group is invited to join us at BG on October 31st for our annual closing of the Hallowscream event. We have season passes so we can get you discount tickets if you are interested. Please message me for details at least a week before!

Just a reminder to our gamers...
If you play Star Wars and were at the last game (Saturday, July 25) then your character should be 500 points over 12th level. Read the extended text for further details on the SW Game!!!
